Depression doesn’t always look like crying or obvious sadness. Sometimes it sounds like “I don’t care anymore,” “I feel numb,” or “I don’t recognize myself lately.” For many teens and young adults, it can feel confusing to explain, especially when there isn’t a clear reason for feeling this way.
Therapy offers a place to talk honestly about that heaviness without pressure to be positive or “fix it” quickly. Together, we explore what’s underneath the low energy, disconnection, or loss of motivation. We focus on helping you reconnect with yourself, your emotions, and the parts of life that once felt meaningful.
My approach to depression is gentle and attuned. I’m not interested in pushing clients to “feel better” before they’re ready. Instead, we create space to understand what the heaviness is protecting or responding to, while slowly rebuilding connection to emotions, relationships, and routines that support energy and meaning. Progress often happens quietly, through small shifts that add up.
